SEMEP AWARDS BELONG TO AREL STUDENTS News
SEMEP (South Eastern Mediterranean Environment Project) is an international environmental education project approved at the 27th General Assembly of UNESCO, a sub-organization of the United Nations. It is aimed to raise environmental awareness with the theme of "Renewable Energy Resources for Sustainable Development and Increasing Global Energy Efficiency-Clean and Reliable Energy". Our middle and high school students won awards with the posters they prepared for SEMEP events.
MOST AWARENESS RAISING WORK AWARD
Esma Buse Sarma, Ayşenur Tartar and Yağmur Özdamar, who are high school students of AREL College, took an active role in UNESCO SEMEP projects and poster events and offered suggestions in their project called “Awareness Documentary’’ by holding the cameras in their hands and talking to people about the environment and preventing the world, which is our home, from being dragged into a scary future, in their project called “Awareness Documentary’’.
Most importantly, they aimed to raise awareness by attracting their attention. Our students were entitled to receive the award of "THE MOST AWARENESS RAISING WORK AWARD"in both the poster and project categories at SEMEP.
BEST TECHNOLOGICAL WORK AWARD
AREL Science High School students Yağmur Birkalan, Asya Cömert, Kamil Veli, Ada Öztay, Mehmet Eren Bölükbaşı won "THE BEST TECHNOLOGICAL WORK" award in their field with their projects called "From Waterfalls to Electricity". We congratulate our students and wish them lifelong success.
