Barış Manço from the view of his son Batıkan…
In the 16th anniversary of the famous singer Barış Manço’s death, Batıkan Manço was together with the students at the commemoration ceremony organized by AREL College.
During the conversation with AREL students, Batıkan Manço was deeply moved. To the question “What was the most important and unforgettable advice your father gave to you?”, Manço answered that he had never forgotten his father’s advice “Read my son! You can get the most reliable information only from books”. He also said being the son of a great musician loved by everybody had been very honorable but also tough at times. Therefore, he stated that he maintains his life considering this fact. While Batıkan Manço was answering AREL students’ questions, he also shared his personal videos with his father.
The event attracted the great interest of the students and their parents. At the end of the event, the band “RAPSODI”, which was composed of the students from AREL College High School Orchestra Club, performed Barış Manço songs and entertained the audience.
