AREL SCHOOLS LIT IT UP BLUE FOR AUTISM News
AREL Schools organized an autism awareness seminar on April 25th, 2015 Saturday under the slogan “Light It up Blue” for World Autism.
AREL students who are raised with social responsibility and continue their action-service work without hesitation were active again, this time for autism awareness. April is identified as autism awareness month by the United Nations and lots of activities are planned around the world to increase autism awareness. AREL Schools Autism Awareness Action-Service group students and OTED organized a seminar for autism awareness on April 25th, 2015 on its definition, symptoms and the role of education and sports in its treatment. Special Education Expert Erdi Kanbaş provided an overview of autism, Skills Coordination and Sports Specialist Haluk Demir talked about the effect of sports on autism and Author Canan Mat talked about her experiences as a mother of an autistic child.
Participants found the opportunity to share ideas and experiences with each other. After the question-answer session at the end of the event, AREL students expressed that they would continue to work on this issue.
