What is the International Baccalaureate (IB)?

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a non-profit educational foundation, motivated by its mission and focused on the student. There are four programmes offered by IB - Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, Diploma Programme and Career-Related Certificate - for students between the ages 3-19 to help them develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.

AREL Secondary School 6th, 7th, 8th grades and AREL Anatolian High School 9.10. classes; The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB-MYP) was successful in its applications, and on 13 June 2007 it received authorization and became an IB school. AREL Elementary School, which was deemed successful after the authorization visit made by IB in 2008, became an IB-PYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program for 4-12 age group).

AREL Schools, following the IB programmes, aim to educate its students to become individuals who are principled, knowledgeable, open-minded, self-confident, inquirers, critical thinkers, communicators.
